The TROOP 49 FOUNDATION, INC. seeks to provide financial support to individuals of need in order that the youth may participate in quality programs that strive to meet the aims of the foundation. Individuals with Troop 49 should route requests for assistance through the Scoutmaster or Committee Chairperson. Individuals associated with other groups may contact the foundation directly by utilizing the request form below . Members of Troop 49 of Charlotte, NC will be provided first priority.
The TROOP 49 FOUNDATION,, INC. believe that continuing education is one of Scouting’s Visions of “Keeping one’s Mind Awake” and thus we would like to offer scholarship opportunities for individuals who attend institutes of higher education. Of course we would like to recognize the Eagle Scouts from Troop 49, Charlotte, NC but we can envision that other youth might also be eligible for a scholarship should they meet the criteria set forth in the application and be selected. In keeping with this vision, we would like to support local institutions that provide educational opportunities. While our foundation would accept applications from all youth, Eagle Scouts from Troop 49 in Charlotte would be given first priority during the selection process. Individuals would submit applications, annually, to the board of directors for review and evaluation via letter and the request form below
