Supporting Troop 49 and the Youth of America
Our Aim is to support programs and organizations that provide youth with the positive character development that envisions the qualities noted in Scout Oath and Law.
Specifically: Duty to God, Country, & Service to Others
About
The TROOP 49 FOUNDATION, INC. was established first as a organization to be able to receive physical donations such as land or buildings, which would in turn be utilized to support the activities of Boy Scout Troop 49 of Charlotte. Secondly, the foundation would provide financial support for the troop though it’s funds. The foundation would eventually be able to provide grants/scholarships to scouting youth to attend and participate in various scouting activities, such as summer camps, high adventure programs, or training/educational activities. Additionally, the foundation would support scouts with their Eagle Service Projects by providing a pathway for funding.
The Mission
The TROOP 49 FOUNDATION, INC. is organized to provide not only financial support primarily for Boy Scout Troop 49 of Charlotte, North Carolina but also physical support such as volunteer assistance, property management , Eagle Service Projects, and educational resources.
The TROOP 49 FOUNDATION, INC. may also provide financial support to other organizations that sponsor and or conduct programs that encourage youth character development. Examples, may be Educational, Church, or Civic youth programs.
The TROOP 49 FOUNDATION, INC. may provide scholarships to individuals to attend programs, camps and institutes of higher education. These scholarships may be provided on an annual basis based on applications, review, and selection.

Grants & Scholarships
The TROOP 49 FOUNDATION, INC. seeks to provide financial support to individuals of need in order that the youth may participate in quality programs that strive to meet the aims of the foundation.
